Knight Selected WHS Principal

Jennie Knight, who has served as instructional leader at West Hopkins School for the past three years, has now been selected as the school’s principal. She is an experienced educator with more than 20 years in the field, including 14 years in Hopkins County Schools.
“I am deeply honored to be selected as the new principal of West Hopkins,” Knight said. “I want to sincerely thank Dr. Fleming and the WHS Site-Based Decision Making Council for placing their trust in me. I am stepping into this role ready to support our educators and serve our students. The community here is so special to me, and I am genuinely excited for what the future holds.”
During her tenure at West Hopkins, she has mentored and coached teachers to maximize instructional practices, facilitated professional learning committees, and ensured curriculum and standards align for grades K-8 in all content areas. She previously taught at Hanson Elementary School.
Knight earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from Transylvania University and master’s degrees in Education - Teacher Leader and Education Administration from Murray State University.
